Order Cod Online: A Convenient Guide
Although questions about sustainability made Chilean sea bass a polarizing subject, demand remains strong. This is partly due to its excellent eating qualities and the fact that it is MSC certified.
Like other members of the Bass family, it cooks up with a brilliant white color and is moist and buttery. It is quite fatty compared to cod, sitting halfway between cod and salmon in this regard. It has a delightful flavor that stands on its own but also works with stronger flavors and is a favorite in Asian-inspired dishes. It is available year-round as fresh, frozen and fillets.
